Miss Hannah was awarded with the Presidential Physical Fitness Award at school today! She is awesome. She had to run a mile in 8 minutes and do sit ups and pull ups and lots of stuff that her mother cannot do. She made a goal a year ago to earn this award and she did it today! She and her friend Kylie worked hard to show their fitness abilities. Way to go Hannah-Banana!

Caitlin...The BRAIN
Caitlin has the brains in the family. Last night was the Freshman Honors Night at Willowcreek Middle School. Caitlin was invited to sit on the stage of the auditorium with the administration and the rest of the freshmen who maintained a 4.0 GPA their 9th grade year. Caitlin was honored for her GPA and then received another award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA her entire junior high career. WOW! She has worked hard and takes pride in learning. She is a smart one and we are so proud of her. Not to mention she is cute too!

Memorial Day Weekend
We love the long weekends! This Memorial Day Weekend, it seemed to rain every day! That makes for a lot of inside enjoyment instead of playing in the sun. We did manage to get flowers to the cemetary in Spanish Fork. We put flowers at the gravesides of my baby sisters and my grandparents. The flowers looked pretty. We also enjoyed the company of friends and neighbors for dinner and treats. We saw the new release of the Indiana Jones movies, which the jury is still out on. Some of us liked it, some of us not so much! Nonetheless, it was fun to go together and eat popcorn and watch "Indy" at his best. We had a barbecue with our friends, the Zunkowski family. The steaks were tasty and so was the rest of the food. Although it was rainy, we still had a good time. Nothing else too exciting. It is the last week of school, HURRAY! Summer is just around the corner and everyone seems to be thrilled (especially the mom, I hate homework).

FRIDAY, Thank you!
Yes, it is Friday and a long weekend. This week was busy. Hannah had a softball game and she had to fill in for the catcher. She has never been a catcher prior to the game, however, she was amazing. She can do just about anything she puts her mind too. Caitlin had a year end choir and orchestra concert at school and drill team practice at the high school. Whew! Her busy week is over. She sang "Danny Boy" beautifully at her concert, it brought tears to her mother's eyes. She also played the violin with her school orchestra so amazingly. She also played last Sunday at church and made her father tearful and her grandpa came to listen, she did so well, even if she was nervous. Courtney is training a new girl at work, she is now the "trainer." She is awesome. She enjoys her job at the Legacy Center (recreation center), mostly because all the lifeguards are apparently, "HOTTIES." Bowen lost another tooth, his third, how exciting, especially when the Tooth Fairy pays him a visit! He is saving all his "dollars" so he can purchase an Indiana Jones whip. He can't wait to see the new movie. He is happy to have the second to the last week of school almost over. He has no homework all week. This is soooooooo nice for him (and mom). He says that PE is now boring because all they do is practice the dance for the dance festival next week and they don't get to even hold a ball. He is so funny! Eric is working hard and glad to have the rain which gives him a day off from his second job of landscape maintenance. I am just happy to have survived yet another week pretty painlessly. Everyone enjoy the three day weekend!!!!

Long Weekend
It was a long and an eventful weekend for the Thomas children and mom!
Bowen spent the entire day of Saturday in a state of "utter boredom." This was definitely not his weekend. He had to attend a States Fair, a soccer game and endure many hours of girls dancing. Next weekend we will have to find something for him to do, other than "watch" his sisters!
We attended Hannah's "States Fair" at her school. She had to report on the "Treasure State of Montana." She worked hard on her report and did a great job. She made a very colorful poster and a book. She is creative!

Courtney had a soccer game. It is Utah State Cup tournament time. Her Sparta team played well but could not pull out a win. However, Miss Courtney looked quick and aggressive. I think she had a great time, despite the loss.
Caitlin had a dance competition (all day long) at UVU. She competed in three dances. Her team managed two first place trophies and a second place too! Not bad for a day's work. She steals the show every time she walks on stage and Saturday was no exception. She is beautiful!!

Long weekend for the Thomas kids, most especially little Bowen!

San Diego 2008
The Thomas Family (well, all but Miss Caitlin) visited San Diego, CA in March. We went to San Diego for Sparta's soccer tournament. Courtney was a mad woman on the soccer field. We also went to have a little break from the hum drum of normalcey. We had a great time, enjoyed the sunshine and the beach, ate lots of yummy food, shopped, watched Sparta play some good soccer, saw lots of fun things, ate breakfast with Shamu and missed Caitlin alot. We will have to go again sometime!
