LHS Pionettes Rule!!!!
Way to go LHS drill team! The Pionettes won the coveted trophy on performance night for their very athletic, fast paced but darling "hip hop" routine. Good job girls! Caitlin was so excited. She enjoyed her week at drill team camp. They learned six dances in four days and really worked hard. She is having a great experience with the drill team. She is a bit stressed but doing so well and really loves all the girls. Way to go Caitie! We love you and are so proud of our little pionette!

Bowen & Hannah
The Dancing Queen
Gold Medal Winners!
Congrats to LHS girls soccer. They snatched up the gold medal at the 2008 Utah Summer Games this weekend. Courtney rocked the field. Shey played very well, very calm, very quick and very aggressive. She spent time on the ground but always got right back up and stole the ball from her opponent. We went down, it was fun to watch and celebrate with her and all of the girls.
After the Storm There is Always the Rainbow!
During the first week of June we had a major series of storms pass through. It rained and rained and there was wind and cold and no sunshine. It felt like June like temperatures would never arrive and we were forever stuck with fall and winter weather. However on the 5th Bowen woke up so excited. He called for his mother over and over. He wanted me to come and see something. I did, he had his blinds pulled up and then he told me to look at the answer to his prayers. He prayed for a rainbow for his mother. There it was, beautiful and full and so promising of a better day!
There is a quote that goes something like this: "The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you got to put up with alot of rain." ---Dolly Parton
It's true, it takes alot of rain to enjoy the rainbow. What a great thing it is to know that we can always count on the rainbow! Thanks, Bowen for making your mother's day. Now, I am not sure he was sincere or trying to get in his mother's favor as he was still suffering from the very irreverent Primary day. Nonetheless, which ever it was, it worked!
