Soccer Mom

Bowen and the "Tigers" soccer team. Bowen is ready to rip up the field and "put it in the kitchen!"

It is official, I am a "soccer mom" with three of my four children playing the sport. What is it about soccer? I have no idea, other than it keeps my children in excellent physical condition with all the running. Courtney has excelled, she has the most skill and finesse and she is quick. Caitlin was aggressive and fast and so tough. You did not want to get in her way, ever! Bowen, the little beginner, runs fast and is determined. He gets upset when he looses the ball and is not quite satisfied when someone else scores on a ball that he kicked to them. I guess he does not get the concept of a "team" sport and what exactly it means to get the "assist."

It has been beautiful soccer weather, temperatures ranging in the mid 70s to 80s. I can only think of one high school game this season that there has been wet weather and Bowen has only had one game with clouds and the threat of rain.

I enjoy this time of the year with the fall like weather and the temperatures beginning to cool down. I enjoy the cool nights and waking up in the morning to "cold" throughout the house because the windows are open! The leaves are turning to gold and orange colors and the mountains are picturesque with all the brown, red, and bright yellow that paints what was green. It is fun to get out sweaters and hoodies and boots and put away the swim suits, flip flops and sandals. It is all about layering, jackets and sweatshirts for the morning and then peeled off for the lighter shirts in the afternoons. Barbecues and burgers are replaced with fire pits and roasted marshmallows, S'mores are the best!

Fall Time Rocks!
